Seeking Lead Senior RoR Developer
Eastover Partners is seeking a lead senior-level front-end developer for a new consumer-oriented financial site. This is a part-time contract telecommuting position.
DESCRIPTION
- Create and deliver the front-end of a Ruby on Rails-based site.
- Work closely with management on the engineering of the design and user experience.
- Lead and manage remotely a small team (as needed) of developers that would assist you in this project.
- Work with graphics developers responsible for the design look-and-feel of the site.
- Work closely with third-party vendors on the integration of their client data.
- Work with back-end developers, that are responsible for the analysis and execution engine of the platform, on the integration of their efforts in to the front-end.
REQUIREMENTS
- RoR development experience (+3 years). Please provide site and code samples of your work.
- Management experience (+2 years), and preferably with the remote management of developers. References from those you have managed are most helpful.
- Javascript and preferably JQuery (+1 years) UI experience.
- Well versed in TDD and a believer and executor of agile programming techniques.
- Open-source projects, articles, plug-ins and blog postings on Ruby or Rails are all of interest to us.
